Visual artist and designer based in the Netherlands. My practice is rooted in drawing — or mark-making more broadly — as a way of keeping ideas accessible, experimental, and tangible. I use this method to explore and translate complex curatorial, historical, and theoretical themes into visual identities, printed objects, and spatial systems.

Editorial & Print

I have extensive experience in editorial design and print production. I served as lead graphic designer for Brotéria in Lisbon for three years, a cultural center and Jesuit centenary journal, managing over 24 issues and special editions. This work involved every stage of production, from typography and layout to final press checks.

I also led the visual identity for more than 16 art exhibitions, designing and producing catalogues, guides, and on-site signage. These projects required close collaboration with artists and curators to translate complex concepts into tactile, printed objects. My practice includes a hands-on understanding of printing techniques, including Pantone color matching, paper selection, and both offset and letterpress processes.

Drawing Practice

Award-Winning Illustration: In 2024, I received 1st Prize at the 11th Pingo Doce Children’s Literature Awards for illustration.

A Daily Tool for Inquiry: Drawing is central to my practice, used to document daily life and capture emerging ideas. I often juxtapose personal observations with my formal projects.

Collaborative Research: Drawing also serves as a bridge to other researchers’ projects, including visual reconstructions of historical objects and artifacts, and the creation of detailed maps for non-fiction publications and articles.

Projects & Exhibitions

Featured in The Infinite World of Books, a documentary series produced by Brotéria, Portugal. I contributed to the opening and closing sequences and appear in the first episode.
“Soltar a Mão” Workshop (co‑organized with Madalena Tamen) — Brotéria, Lisbon. Hands-on workshop emphasizing gesture, process, and the everyday opportunities for creativity.
