In collaboration with researcher Francisco Martins, I developed the visual reconstructions for the book A Bíblia tinha mesmo razão? As histórias de Israel e o Israel da História. My role involved translating archaeological data and scholarly findings into detailed visual narratives of historical objects, domestic artifacts, and mapping. We intentionally employed a scale unusual for contemporary non-fiction, challenging the standard use of imagery in historical publications of these sort. By prioritizing technical accuracy and a rigorous aesthetic, the drawings provide a tactile dimension to the Ancient Near Eastern context, anchoring high-level academic research in a precise, physical form.
