Brotéria invited Tomás Cunha Ferreira (Lisbon, 1973) to engage in an exhibition-format dialogue with Leonilson’s work — José Leonilson passed away young, in 1993, at the age of 36, leaving behind around 4,000 works. Pequenos Fogos is one of the works featured in this encounter where the two artists intersect
I led the visual design for the exhibition and oversaw the development of the accompanying catalog, which reproduces facsimiles of select works on display. The project involved shaping the visual narrative, coordinating production workflows, and print and material execution.
