Awarded first prize in Portugal’s leading children’s literature competition for my work on Eu e o segredo do Faraó by Catarina Fonseca. Selected by a prestigious jury—including Madalena Matoso (Planeta Tangerina), João Fazenda, and António Jorge Gonçalves—the project was celebrated for its unique graphic quality and humorous, thoughtful engagement with the narrative.
The work explores the intersection of disciplined, geometric precision and expressive storytelling, creating a sensitive and playful dialogue between the mark and the page. By balancing technical rigor with emotional expressiveness, the illustrations offer a vivid, imaginative companion to the text.
